Multi-Ethnic Percussionist and Founder of DRUM4WORK, Jeff Holland has been inspiring people to drum, dance and express themselves for almost twenty years. Working with schools, corporate events, festivals and private students sharing his knowledge of world cultures and love of playing anything you can shake, rattle, scrape or roll, Jeff can orchestrate a group of any size through body language and experience to produce a rhythmic ensemble in a matter of minutes.
Through travels and years of collecting a great variety of percussion and ethnic instruments, Jeff's discoveries unleashed his desire to become an ethnomusicologist, a person who studies music and how they use music within their respective cultures. He learned that music is actually one of the earliest forms of communication and community team-building, and he has developed a wide array of programs with curriculums based on personal expression, stress relief and group unity. DRUM4WORK has expanded beyond the primitive dreams of a percussionist willing to to share and express his feelings through percussion into a thriving group of like-minded drummers and percussionists throughout the southeastern United States.
So far this this year, Jeff has completed 17 residencies in schools such SC Department of Juvenile Justice, SC School for the Deaf and Blind, as well as numerous Arts Days and Explore the Arts summer program. His goal of "combing all forms of art" and multiple intelligence learning strategies has inspired him to help organize several Art and Music festivals, and also plans are the making for an Upstate Arts Center by the first of next year. Jeff has designed a state of the art home studio where he teaches private lessons for drum set and percussion.
